
At least 15 people were killed and another 26 injured on Tuesday when a car bomb exploded outside the presidential palace in Somalia's capital of Mogadishu Two nearby hotels were also damaged in the attack claimed by Al Shabaab movement, security sources said.
A meeting of security officials was going on inside the SYL hotel, one of the two damaged hotels, Information Minister Mohamed Abdi Hayir told Somali state radio, adding that one minister and some state radio journalists were injured in the attack.
