Kuala Lumpur - Bernama

The British High Commission here has welcomed the conviction of two men for stealing from Malaysian student Ashraff Rossli last August, during the London riots. "We made clear at the time, our deep concern at this cowardly attack and our hope that those responsible would be brought to justice. "It is fitting that this has indeed, been the outcome and we wish Ashraff well in his continued studies in the United Kingdom," said Deputy High Commissioner Ray Kyles in a statement here Friday. Two men were today convicted of pretending to be good samaritans to steal from the injured Ashraff, 21, during the riots. A jury at Wood Green Crown Court convicted John Kafunda, 22, of robbery and violent disorder.
