Eleven persons were injured as bomb blast rocked Saigurd district in Parwan province with Charikar as its capital 55 km north of capital Kabul on Saturday, local media reported.

"Eleven people sustained injuries as a bomb placed in a pushcart went off in Siagurd district Saturday morning," Tolo television channel said in its report.

Citing district governor Mohammad Sayed Sediqi, the outlet added that three of those injured in the blast are members of local police.

According to the district governor, Taliban militants are active in parts of the mountainous Siagurd province.

So far no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
