Attacks spark all-round outrage
Jeddah - Arab Today

The attack that took place near the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, which killed four security personnel and injured several others, is being described in various social, academic and diplomacy circles as a criminal act that is contrary to the values of Islam and Shariah.

Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Riyadh Djibouti's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ziauddin Saeed Bamakhrama has expressed his outrage at the terrorist bombings in Madinah, Qatif and Jeddah, saying: "The Arab and Islamic nations are still receiving the arrows of treachery from terrorist organizations, who are inflicting death, destruction and violence on the people and the country."
He added that these groups are still using some of the nation's fledging Arab and Muslim youth to attack its unity, security and stability by implementing malicious criminal actions, violating places of worship, and committing the most heinous and dreadful crimes which are rejected by all nations of the world.
"The crime that occurred in Madinah near the Prophet's Mosque was simply awful and killed several members of the Saudi security forces and injured others", he said.
Princess Basmah bint Saud said that the terrorist acts were carried out by malicious groups trying to destabilize the security and stability of the Kingdom by spilling the blood of the innocent with no shame.
"The Kingdom led by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, our beloved King (and may God always protect him), and with the support of his assistants, Crown Prince Mohammad bin Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior, and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, second deputy premier and minister of defense, will proceed firmly and strongly in the fight against terrorism to eradicate its roots," she said.
She commended the brave security officers in facing the criminals' schemes and expressed her heartfelt condolences to the families and relatives of the martyrs. She wished the afflicted and wounded a good and speedy recovery.
Prince Naif bin Thunayan bin Mohammed Al-Saud, head of the media department at King Saud University and chairman of the Saudi Association for Media and Communication, said that the terrorist act that led to the martyrdom and wounding of a number of security force personnel and innocent civilians in Qatif is incompatible with the principles of Islam, noting that these unfortunate events show that those who stand behind them are enemies of the security and stability of this blessed country.
He said: "Saudi Arabia, led by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, is continuing the fight against terrorism with full force so as to eliminate it. The cohesion of our people and citizens who stand up in the face of these criminal acts will support all of these efforts."
He expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased, asking God to heal the wounded, and to protect our country and the Muslim countries of the world from all evils.
