At least four people are dead and 50 injured after a train crash in northern Spain, the deputy mayor of the nearby town of O Porrino told 24Horas television on Friday.
One of the injured was suffering from life-threatening injuries, he said.
Rail operator Renfe had earlier told dpa there were "several dead." According to El Mundo, the train rammed into a bridge near the O Porrino train station in Pontevedra province around 9:30 am (0730 GMT).
About 60 people were on board the train, which originated in Vigo, Portugal, Renfe said.
The cause was not yet known.
