Abadi: Daesh defeats reflect breakdown

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said that recent defeats of the terrorist group of Daesh by the Iraqi army reflects its breakdown.
Abadi was speaking during a meeting on Monday in Baghdad with US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter.
The premier cited the recent retake of Al Qayyarah airbase south of Mosul.
"This is a great achievement in the war against Daesh," Abadi said.
Carter condemned Daesh terrorist attacks against civilians.
