At least seven people were killed in a car crash in Kenya's coastal region of Kwale on Saturday, officials have said.
Kwale County commissioner, Kutswa Olaka, said four pupils who were on a field trip were among those killed.
The accident took place as a car rammed into a minibus in the early morning.
Preliminary reports indicate the driver of the minibus was on the wrong side of the road. Olaka blamed the driver for careless driving.
Police have launched an investigation.
"We are likely to charge the driver with reckless driving," Olaka said.
According to the National Transport Safety Authority, the number of road fatalities between January and March this year in Kenya stood at 708, up 19 percent on the same period last year.
