
Seven soldiers have embraced martyrdom and 83 militants killed in newest military operations across the country, the Afghan Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday, according to Khaama Press.
According to the statement the seven soldiers embraced martyrdom in landmine explosion and enemy fire over the past 24 hours.
The statement does not specify the exact locations of the incidents.
The statement adds that 83 insurgents, including six foreign fighters, were killed and 116 others wounded in separate military operations in 12 provinces over the past 24 hours.
Security forces have also seized weapons and ammunition but the statement does not specify a solid number of them.
