
At least five people have been killed and more than 20 injured in a traffic accident in Turkish northern province of Sinop, Hurriyet News reported on Thursday.
The accident happened when a passenger bus traveling between Istanbul and Sinop careened over the edge of a cliff, according to the report.
The bus plunged about 10 meters down the cliff near the village of Basekin in Sinop's Sarayduzu district, it added.
Rescue efforts have been hampered by heavy snow and blizzard conditions, the paper said.
