Four civilians were injured on Friday night when an improvised bomb explosion ripped through a pick-up truck parked outside a police station in south Philippine city of Zamboanga, local authorities said Saturday.
Karib Muharram, Police Station 10 commander, said the explosion occurred about 7:50 p.m. just outside the fence beside their headquarters based in the village of Ayala, 16.5 kilometers west of the city.
A house beside the police station was also slightly damaged with its glass windows shattered off.
Police said three of the victims were seriously injured from the blast. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
