Four campers were confirmed dead and another one remained missing as rain-triggered flood drowned a camping site in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality early Sunday, local authorities said.
A total of 26 campers were sleeping in five tents at a camping site in Toudu township in Nanchuan District when mountain torrents engulfed the site at around 3 a.m., the press office of the Nanchuan committee of the Communist Party of China said in a press release.
As of 8 p.m., 21 people were saved and rescuers were still searching for the missing camper.
