Four people were killed in Las Vegas and eight injured when a vehicle plowed into a bus stop Thursday morning, police said. Clark County law enforcement officials were investigating have not offered an explanation for what happened at the scene. They said four people were inside the vehicle about 6:25 a.m. Thursday when the driver apparently lost control, jumped the sidewalk and struck the bus stop, The Las Vegas Sun reported. Several passengers were extricated from the vehicle. Of the eight injured, police said several suffered life-threatening injuries and were admitted to University Medical Center and Sunrise hospital nearby. The driver was believed to have suffered a punctured lung and broken back.
