Three people including a security guard were killed and around 15 others injured when a bomb went off near a military vehicle in Pakistan's southwestern Quetta city on Saturday morning, local media reported.
ARY TV reported that the incident happened at about 7:15 a.m. local time when the vehicle of paramilitary troops Frontier Corps (FC) was passing Sariab road of Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan province.
The FC vehicle was on routine patrol across the city when it came under attack.
Police said the bomb was detonated by a remote controller and explosive materials were fixed in a vehicle parked on the roadside.
The bomb disposal squad said about 15 to 20 kg explosives were used in the attack.
The injured people have been shifted to a nearby hospital where at least four of them are said to be in critical condition.
Hospital administration said the injured people include FC personnel and children.
Four vehicles including the FC mobile were destroyed in the attack.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
