Johannesburg - XINHUA

Two civilians and one security force member were injured after two back-to-back explosions in northern Afghan province of Baghlan on Saturday, police said.
"An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) went off at around 10:30 a.m. (local time) near sport stadium in provincial capital Pul-e- Khumri. The second IED was detonated shortly after security forces arrived at the area, injuring one security personnel and two civilians," provincial police spokesman Jawid Basharat told Xinhua, adding an investigation was launched into the incident.
No group claimed responsibility. The authorities blame Taliban militants for such attacks.
The Taliban has intensified attacks over the past couple of months as the NATO and U.S. forces are withdrawing from the country. The war-torn country is due to take over the responsibility for its own security from NATO-led troops by the end of year.
More than 34,000 NATO-led coalition troops, down from the peak of 130,000 in 2010, are stationed in Afghanistan. Nearly 24,000 of them are Americans and the United States plans to trim its forces to less than 10,000 next year.
