151 insurgents killed, 107 injured in Kunar fighting

At least 151 insurgent have been killed so far in the fighting with Afghan security forces and civilians over the past ten days, Khama press reported Tuesday.
“17 foreign fighters who got killed have been transported across the border (Pakistan)” said Abdul Habib Sayedkhil, police chief of Kunar.
He added that 107 other insurgents have also sustained injuries in the exchange of fire.
He emphasized that the insurgents have been retreated and there is not much resistance now.
Ten days ago hundreds of insurgents attacked Dangam district in eastern Kunar province after civilians took their weapons against them.
