About 100 people were buried and 12 bodies found after a giant amount of dump soil collapsed in Myanmar's northernmost Kachin state, a local rescuer said on Tuesday.
The landslide, which occurred at about 7:00 a.m. local time, buried about 100 miners near Wehkahmo village in Hpakant town, the local rescuer told Xinhua.
The incident happened while local miners were searching for jade in piles of waste soil along the mountain side.
