
At least 10 people were killed and several others injured in a road accident in north Indian state of Rajasthan on Sunday.
The bus was travelling from a Hindu shrine in Jaisalmer district to the neighbouring district of Udaipur when the accident took place early Sunday, police official Jaynarayan Sher said.
There were about 50 people on the bus and the condition of 15 of the injured was listed as serious, Sher said.
India has the highest number of traffic fatalities in the world. An average of 135,000 people die every year in traffic collision-related accidents, according to government data.
