Floods in southern Brazil killed 10 people after heavy rainfall, dpa cited a news report as saying early Thursday.
Heavy rain caused the Iguazu river the state of Parana to swell, the
news portal G1 said. The flooding is spreading toward Paraguay and
Argentina.
The volume at the Iguazu waterfall on the border of Argentina, Brazil
and Paraguay on Monday jumped to a record 46,300 cubic metres per
second, from 5,230 just 24 hours earlier, the newspaper Clarin

The river is expected to crest in southern Paraguay in the next few
days, the newspaper ABC Color reported. About 200 families have been
