Zambian player Emanuel Maioka of Egypt's Zamalek football team revealed that the decision to cancel his national team's friendly match against Tanzania was the major reason behind his absence from the formation of his national team. He praised his presence with Zamalek, saying that his existence with the Egyptian team enriched his experience as a football player.

He stressed that he exerts increasing efforts to ensure his presence with Zamalek's first team, stressing that he is keen to do his best during the training to prove his efficiency. He added that he knows that the coach of Zambian national team would summon him during the suspension of Egypt's league to join his country's team during a friendly match against Tanzania.

He added that he has a clear information about his summoning to his national team during the coming period. He added, "I received calls from officials in this regard during the last days, while the cancellation of the friendly match prevented him from such important opportunity."

He added that it is not a surprise to join his national team in the light of his existence in a major club in Africa and the Arab world like Zamalek. He added that he works currently to return to participation with his team during the coming matches. He expressed his appreciation to the coaching staff and his respect to their decisions.

He denied what was published that he was driving his car while he was drunk. He added that such rumors aim to suspend the team's wins and to undermine its advance in the different tournaments in which he participates.

He added that Zamalek has the opportunity to win the CAF Champions League, saying that the matches of the group stage are difficult. He added that the team is able to win the African cup this season.
