Coach of Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca football team Al Hussein Amouta revealed that they bet on winning the coming match against Tanger Union in the framework of Moroccan football league, saying that he is keen not to lose any points to keep his position in the league’s table and to win the local tournament in the current season.

He added, in an interview with “Arabs Today”, that he does not give priority to the team’s performance while the results they achieve, saying, “When I signed a contract with the team, we agreed to win the tournaments.” He stressed the importance of the coming match against Tanger Union, saying that they have no option except to win the match.

He expressed his appreciation to Tanger Union’s ambition to end the current season in a leading position in the Moroccan league to qualify for one of CAF tournaments during the coming season, saying that they would exert their efforts to achieve positive result during the match.

He refuted criticism against him over adopting defensive tactics during the matches the team performs, saying that the priority is for winning the matches not use striking tactics. He added that he took the responsibility during the beginning of this season and managed to adapt with the team’s conditions in a very short time.

He stressed that his team has the biggest opportunity to win the league this season, while he warned of the coming matches. He said, “We still have five matches. Any defeats could undermine our fans’ aspirations to win the league this season. The players should resume their performance during the coming matches not to lose any single point.”

He added that he has not decided whether to continue with the team or not during the coming season, saying that he will meet with the team’s board to assess what was achieved during this season and to discuss the team’s future. He added that he will take the final decision after the end of the current season.
