Sudan
Khartoum - Arab Today

Participants in the Sudanese national dialogue have reached compromises to almost 75 percent of controversial issues, Sudanese Foreign Minister Ibrahim Ghandour said.

In statements to MENA on Thursday, he said the dialogue was spearheaded by the ruling National Congress Party in the aftermath of the wave of the Arab Spring revolutions. Sudan realized that it is not far from such wave and there is need for reformation.

The dialogue addressed many issues, including NCP reforms, political practices and freedoms, national economy and social solidarity and Sudan's foreign relations, he said.

He noted that international, regional and Arab states, especially Egypt, are keeping an eye on the Sudanese national dialogue that should end up with closing ranks among Sudanese parties in order to realize development and stability in the African state.
