Seoul - Yonhap
The defense ministry said Thursday it will set up an integrated system to better deal with abuse cases at camps, and to increase monitoring and education as part of efforts to promote soldiers' rights. The government plans to spend some 70 million won (US$65,789) to establish the system as early as this year where soldiers can report any complaints to the authorities and seek counseling services online, which are currently available only via phone, according to the ministry. It is part of the government's comprehensive five-year plan that aims to promote service members' human rights and to foster advanced culture, it added.
