The Pakistan military said on Wednesday that Indian troops have again violated the Line of Control in the disputed Kashmir region.
The fresh violation came a day after Pakistani and Indian military officials discussed ways to reduce tensions along the border as exchange of fire claimed lives of over 20 people on both sides in 10 days.
"Indian troops violating LOC sanctity today morning again resorted to unprovoked firing in Kailer sector near Bagh and Nezapir sector near Rawalakot (Pakistan-controlled Kashmkir)," the Pakistan army said.
"Pakistani troops befittingly responded to Indian firing," a statement from the military's Inter-Services Public Relations said.
Earlier, four children were injured in alleged Indian shelling in Nakial sector near Kotli on Tuesday evening, officials in the region said.
Meanwhile, Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States Jalil Abbas Jilani has said the Indian aggression on the Line of Control and the Working Boundary has turned the bilateral relationship tense.
He was speaking at Atlantic Council in Washington, state media reported.
Both countries accused each other of violating the 2003 ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) that divides the two countries in the disputed Kashmir region.
Border troops also traded fire along the Working Boundary which separates each other in Punjab province.
On Monday Pakistan's top security adviser called upon Permanent Members of the UN Security Council to urge India to respect the ceasefire agreement and engage in a meaningful and serious dialogue.
Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz briefed the ambassadors of the five permanent member countries of the UN Security Council on the situation prevailing on the Line of Control and the Working Boundary, the foreign ministry said.
The Adviser outlined prime minister's vision of a peaceful South Asian region and his positive overtures to the Indian government.
