The second round of political and economic consultations between the Sultanate and Uzbekistan in light of the memorandum of understanding signed between the foreign ministries of the two countries, was held in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent. The Omani side was chaired by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry whilst the Uzbek side was chaired by Elyar Ganiyev Minister of Foreign Economic Affairs, Investments and Trade. Sayyid Badr met with Abdulaziz Kamilov, Uzbek Foreign Minister. During the meeting they exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern. The two sides expressed satisfaction over the similarity of their stances towards those issues. Times Of Oman
