
A Jordanian prisoner, serving 11 life sentences in jail, married a Palestinian woman in an Israeli jail, said a Palestinian human rights center on Sunday.
The 42-year-old Marie Sobh Abu Saeeda, who has been in jail since 2004, proposed to 22-year-old Ayat through her jailed father, who is also serving a 21-year jail sentence, the center added.
The couple got engaged on Thursday at Nafha prison amid tight security measures.
They chatted with each other for 45 minutes, the maximum time granted to prisoners by the jail administration.
The bride said their wedding will take place when her groom is freed.
Abu Saeeda is charged with killing a settler.
