Jordan rejects Israel's escalation measures in Aqsa Mosque, said the Jordanian minister of state for media affairs and communication.
In a statement Wednesday, Mohammad Momani warned of attempts to change the situation on the ground by the use of occupation forces in violation of the international law.
Israeli authorities closed a number of doors of the holy shrine in the face of Muslims and allowed extremists and settlers to storm the Aqsa Mosque under the protection of Israeli soldiers.
He called for abiding by the outcome of the 2014 tripartite meeting between Jordanian King Abdullah II, US Secretary of State John Kerry and Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu to maintain the status quo of holy places in East Jerusalem.
