Israeli forces on Tuesday arrested 11 suspected anti-occupation activists during raids across the West Bank that have become almost daily occurrence, Palestinian sources said.
They said soldiers, who landed in military jeeps, carried out search-and-arrest raids in the cities of Ramallah, Jenin and Hebron as well as in the town of Salfit, and rounded up the suspects.
Troops also stormed the Aida refugee camp on the northern fringes of Ramallah, and clashed with school children who hurled rocks on them. The soldiers fired tear gas and stun grenades, injuring a number of students.
Clashes were still continuing at the camp's eastern entrance, hours after the raid.
