A number of Muslim prayers were injured early Monday after Israeli policemen stormed Al-Aqsa compound via Bab El- Magharbeh Gate.
According to media sources, dozens of Israeli policemen stormed Al-Aqsa compound through the Bab El- Magharbeh Gate attacking worshippers at Al-Qebli Mosque inside the complex after firing stun grenades ,rubber bullets and tear gas.
The attack came as part of the Israeli attempt to make room for Jewish settlers to force their way into the holy site on the Jewish anniversary of the so-called ‘destruction of the temple,’ which falls on Tuesday where Jewish settlers will perform their Talmudic rites, the sources added.
Tension is running high inside and outside the Aqsa Mosque as Israeli soldiers, heavily deployed at the mosque's main gates.
Meanwhile,Israeli forces early morning closed the main entrances to Al-Aqsa Mosque preventing Muslims from entering the complex to perform al-Fajir prayer, allowing at the same time Jewish settlers to storm the compound lead by a number of rabbis to perform their Talmudic rituals.
