Israeli forces Thursday detained at least eight Palestinians and summoned another during overnight raids into a number of West Bank districts, said Palestine Prisoner’s Society and locals.

Forces detained three Palestinians after storming and thoroughly ransacking their family houses in Saida village, north of Tulkarem, in the northern West Bank. In Jenin district, forces handcuffed and detained a Palestinian during an overnight raid into Qabatia town, south of Jenin city.

This came several hours after another Palestinian from the town was handcuffed and detained at Zaatara military checkpoint, known to Israelis as Tappuah, south of Nablus.

In Jerusalem district, forces conducted a house-to-house detention raids in Anata town, northeast of Jerusalem, detaining an unidentified Palestinian. Forces also set up a checkpoint at the main entrance of the town, inspecting all Palestinian vehicles and interrogating passengers.

The Jerusalem detention came a day after forces and intelligence officers conducted an extensive detention raids across the Jerusalem neighborhoods of Jabal al-Zeitoun and al-Suwwaneh, briefly detaining 45 Palestinians for several hours, including five who were placed in custody.

To the south of Jerusalem, forces summoned a Palestinian as they raided the area surrounding al-Azza refugee camp and Bethlehem University as well as the Bethlehem streets of al-Saff and Bab al-Zeqaq.

Separately, forces stormed a house belonging to the Abu Rashid family during a predawn raid in the nearby town of Beit Fajjar. No detentions were reported though. In Hebron city, forces re-detained two Palestinians and ransacked several houses in the southern West Bank city.
