The Israeli army last night and this morning continued its aggression on the Gaza Strip at the time the Palestinians and Israelis agreed to a new truce expected to have entered into force at 8:00 a.m.
Several explosions were heard in the northern Gaza Strip caused by the Israeli raids at the time war planes of various types, especially surveiilance ones, carried on intensive sorties over this region.
In Cairo last night, the delegation dispatched by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas agreed with Israel on a 72-hour extendable truce to start at 8:00 this morning.
The delegation included representaives from the PLO, Fatah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
For its part, Israel announced that it plans to send a delegation to Cairo to discuss ways to reach a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
At this time, Palestinian medical sources in the Gaza Strip said that two Palestinians dies of wounds they sustained during the Israeli aggression. Medical crews also continued to dig out from under the rubble scores of martyrs, especially in the east of Khan Younis, Beit Hanoun and Shojae'ya neighborhood in Gaza City.
