sraeli occupation authorities on Monday imposed further restrictions on access of Palestinian worshippers to the Al-Aqsa Mosque for the second consecutive day.
Palestinian women from all ages were banned from entering the holy site, while men have to submit their identity cards to the Israeli police at the gates of the mosque before entering and they can retake them upon leaving.
Since Sunday evening, the police continued to close four gates of the mosque and have deployed large number of personnel at the opened gates of Bab Al-Majlis, Bab Hitah, Bab Al-Asbat and Bab Al-Silsileh.
Meanwhile, extremist settlers and Jewish tourists are allowed to enter the holy site through Al-Magharbah gate and to freely tour the mosque yards under the protection of the Israeli police.
