Israel demolishes 42 Palestinian buildings

Israel demolished 42 Palestinian buildings in three complexes in Area C and East Jerusalem under the pretext that the buildings are not licensed, according to a reported issued by the United Nations Office of the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) on Tuesday.
Israeli authorities have told the Supreme Court of Israel about plans to demolish houses from January 26 to February 2 without any prior notification, the report said.
About 168 people, including 94 children, will be homeless as a result of the demolition orders, the report said.
