 Army forces, backed by tribal men, clashed with elements of the Islamic State near Haditha district, west of Anbar.
A police source in Anbar told the reporter of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that armed clashes erupted near the Haditha Dam, west of the province between the army forces supported by the sons of the tribes and terrorists of the co-called the Islamic State.
He added that the elements of (IS) tried to advance to control the dam, but they faced fierce resistance from the military units, supported by of the( Aljgayevh) clan and prevented them to progress, and fled to unknown destinations, adding that the armed forces killed and wounded many of the terrorists.
