French FM urges Israel to resume negotiations with Palestinians

French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius urged on Thursday Israel to hold its responsibility and resume negotiations with the Palestinians to reach a just and last peace based on the two-state solution.
In a statement, Fabius said setting up a sovereign Palestinian state that lives side by side with Israel is the only way to achieve peace in the Mideast region.
The statements come after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dismissed setting up a Palestinian state as long as he is in power.
