Molotov Cocktail attack
Manama - Arab Today

Bahrain's Interior Ministry on Saturday said that an on-duty policeman was killed and two others injured in a Molotov Cocktail attack in Karbabad village.

The Interior Ministry said the firebombs targeted a police patrol resulting in death of a policemen and seriously injuring two others.

The attack was conducted by a group of what can only be described as terrorists who hurled Molotov cocktails at the police who were securing the roads and protecting property in the village,' stated the ministry in a statement.

"An investigation was launched to identify the suspects and bring them to justice."

According to police source, many policemen have been killed in Bahrain and more than 2,300 injured since the outbreak of anti-government protests in 2011.

Those numbers have increased over the years with clashes between anti-government groups and police.
