Two Palestinians stabbed and moderately wounded an Israeli soldier in the occupied West Bank before being shot dead on Tuesday, the army said.
"The soldier was stabbed when forces at the scene approached two suspects at the junction. As the forces approached, the suspects attacked a soldier, stabbing and wounding him moderately," said a statement from the army.
"Forces responded to the attack with immediate fire." The soldier was taken for treatment in moderate condition, the army said, later confirming the two attackers were dead.
