Armed Palestinians opened fire twice at Israeli troops at the Qalandiya checkpoint near Ramallah on Saturday night, but none of the troops were hurt.
In the first incident shortly before 9pm, armed terrorists opened fire at a pillbox, harming no soldiers but causing damage to the post, YNet reported on Sunday.
Israeli army and Border Police forces were called to the scene to search the Qalandiya refugee camp for the perpetrators. There, they were met with gunfire again. None of the troops was hurt, but damage was caused to their military jeep. The Israeli troops did not return fire.
Following the two incidents, the checkpoint was temporary closed for traffic.
