
A total of 16 militants affiliated to Houthis and pro-former president Ali Abdullah Saleh militias were killed, while dozens were injured in clashes and shelling in Taiz city, Spokesman for the military council in Taiz Mansour al Hassani said on Sunday.
Also, five army and resistance elements were killed, while 13 others were injured in Saturday's clashes. Two civilians were killed and seven others were injured in Houthis shelling to the city, he further said.
Arab coalition warplanes shelled militias' positions in which a number of militants were killed and some military equipment including a tank were destroyed.
Meanwhile, resistance in Al Jawf governorate said it captured 18 Houthis and pro-Saleh militants in clashes that erupted on Saturday.
