"Lebanese Forces" bloc member, Deputy Antoine Zahra, said that it was high time that all political teams acknowledged the fact that setting hands on the state was a failing experience. "Controlling the state was an unsuccessful incident and led to nowhere," the MP told "Voice of Lebanon" radio on Thursday, calling on the Lebanese to come together and agree. "I think the Lebanese cannot agree now as a result of the direct involvement of Hezbollah in the Syrian conflict," he added. He renewed the call to resort to Baabda declaration to avoid repercussions on Lebanon. On the other hand, Zahra said it would be possible not to run the presidency elections if the situation remained as it is.
