The deputy of Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc, Ali Fayyad
Beirut - Arab Today

The deputy of Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc, Ali Fayyad, affirmed on Sunday that Hezbollah is not going be hauled into vain internal polemics.

The deputy, who spoke at a meeting in the border village of Adaisseh during which the flags of Lebanon, Palestine and Hezbollah were hoisted, said that the resistance has never had partisan or confessional objectives, nor was it hostage to the local political game.

According to his words, the resistance was always a project equal to the aspirations of the people and the country, in a safe and free country capable of protecting itself.

"Hezbollah promotes internal stability, the latter being a need to enable the institutions to play their roles in the face of challenges," he added, noting however that this fact did not bind Hezbollah's stances on regional affairs.

"We will not be yanked into futile domestic polemics aimed at destabilizing the local scene, since stability is always our priority, and we have our alliances, our vision of facts and our regional calculations," he said.
