'We expect more space, participants at IDEX, NAVDEX 2019'

The 14th edition of the International Defence Exhibition and Conference, IDEX, and the fifth edition of the Naval Defence Exhibition, NAVDEX, will be held from 17th to 21st February, 2019, organisers of these biennial defence shows announced on the fifth and final day of this year’s events.
Naval Staff Colonel Fahed Nasser Al Thehli, Official Spokesperson of NAVDEX 2017, told the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that organisers had already started receiving space reservation applications from regional and global exhibitors for the next editions of IDEX and NAVDEX.
''This is a testimony to the success of the exhibition industry in the UAE in general and the biennial defence shows in particular,'' he noted.
''We expect an increase in exhibition area and also a rise in the number of national pavilions and exhibiting companies,'' he added.
Around 100 companies, specialising in maritime defence technology and systems, took part in NAVDEX 2017.
