Wali launches 1st strategy for the disabled

Social Solidarity Minister Ghada Wali launched on Monday the first strategy to protect and rehabilitate the disabled. 

Addressing the conference, Wali said the ministry's strategy is based on fundamental principles stipulated in the constitution and the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, to address all challenges that face them in Egypt.

She added that the ministry took due steps to prepare the strategy in cooperation with state agencies, representatives of National Council for Disability Affairs and the civil society, private sector and experts from all Egyptian governorates.
