Drivers are warned to watch out for a number of traffic accidents that are tying up roads in Dubai and Abu Dhabi early on Monday morning.
A crash on the Dubai-Al Ain Road, just after the Outlet Mall heading in the direction of Dubai, was reported by Dubai Police on its Twitter account at 7.09am. Police warned drivers to take precaution in the area.
A series of other traffic accidents were reported between 7am and 8am on Twitter by TrafficDXB.
A crash on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, opposite Motor City and Dubai Autodrome towards Abu Dhabi, was causing some delays.
A second accident on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, this time near the Al Muhaisnah Bridge heading toward Abu Dhabi, was slowing down traffic during the rush hour.
At 8.15am, a crash was reported on Sheikh Zayed Road just before Oasis Centre towards Abu Dhabi causing congestion and long tailbacks, according to TrafficDXB.
"Most of the #Dubai schools have reopened after a short break," @TrafficDXB tweeted. "With that we expect the traffic to increase with additional school runs."
In Abu Dhabi, drivers were warned to watch out for one accident. It occurred at 7.38am on E30, where the vehicles were travelling from Mussafah on the ramp toward Al Khaleej Al Arabi inbound. "Expect delays," the police warned. By 8.08am, the accident had cleared.
