United Arab Emirates (UAE) ambassador in Cairo Jomaa Mubarak al Jenebi has described Egyptian-UAE relations as brotherly and strong.
In a ceremony marking his country's 45th National Day in the presence of a host of ministers, businessmen, journalists, artists and Arab and foreign diplomats accredited in Cairo, he said the relations between the two countries are growing strongly.
Egypt has, throughout history, supported the stability of all Arab countries, he said.
Without Egypt's stability, it would be difficult to achieve stability in the Arab world, and Egypt's success in this, is a shared Arab responsibility, he added.
He greeted the people of Egypt under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi who has succeeded in achieving political, security and economic stability in Egypt.
He has lifted Egypt's standing at the Arab, Islamic and international levels, he said.
He pointed out that Egypt was the first to support his country's declaration of the federation, saying that Egypt is the pillar of security and stability at the regional and international levels.
The UAE diplomat said his country supported Egypt in the glorious war of October in 1973 and offered all the potentials it had to support Egypt in the war.
He said that the UAE is the biggest trade partner for Egypt as the trade exchange between the two countries hit 2.5 billion dollars in 2016.
The diplomat said the volume of UAE investments in Egypt exceeded 6 billion dollars in October this year while the number of UAE companies operating in Egypt in various domains reached 856 and the number of Egyptians working in the UAE exceeded 350,000.
