UAE pays tribute to soldiers on Armed Forces' Unification Day

UAE leaders have paid glowing tributes to soldiers on the 41st anniversary of Armed Forces' Unification Day.

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan reiterated his pride in the UAE Armed Forces personnel, praising the efforts and sacrifices made in order to protect the country and to preserve the achievements of its people. "Our armed forces will remain a symbol of national unity and support for our brothers and friends. Belonging to the armed forces will always be an honour, a duty and a right for all citizens," he said.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the soldiers and personnel of the UAE Armed Forces on the occasion, saying that the armed forces have become a key player in the UAE's overall development, strengthening the nation's unity and identity.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also paid a rich tribute to the valiant UAE Armed Forces, saying that they have the unlimited and unconditional support of the UAE's leadership. He underlined that they defend the country, safeguard the security of the Gulf, and combat the evil forces of terrorism and extremism.

His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, said that the people of the UAE feel grateful to this glorious event, which is a landmark in history of the country. He lauded the UAE Armed Forces for safeguarding the security of the region and taking part in the international peace keeping and humanitarian missions.

His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, hailed the sacrifices of valiant heroes of the UAE Armed Forces, saying these sacrifices will go down in the annals of history and exhibit their patriotism and gallantry.

The UAE Armed Forces create stability and peace, defending not only the rights of the Gulf and the Arab region, but also the rights throughout the world, His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, said.

The unification of the UAE Armed Forces is a triumph to the country and its people, being a beacon of unity and development, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, said.
