Twin explosions on Friday at a mosque in the city of Samara'a resulted in the killing of 14 worshippers and the injury of 28 others, a security source said. "Two crude explosive devices were detonated simultaneously inside the Musa'ab Bin Omayr mosque in the city of Samara'a right when the worshippers there had just ended their Friday noon prayers, killing 14 of them and wounding 28 others," said the security source, who chose to remain anonymous, in a statement to KUNA. The city of Samara'a is located in the province of Salahuddin which routinely suffers from acts of violence, including explosions instigated by booby-trapped cars or home-made bombs, aimed at harming innocent civilians as well as security personnel. The province is 170 km north of the capital city of Baghdad.
