Tunisian assembly approves new cabinet

Tunisia's assembly on Friday approved a cabinet proposed by prime minister-designate Hamadi Jbeli. A total of 154 members of the 217-seat constituent assembly approved the new government, 38 members voted against and the rest abstained. The moderate Islamist Ennahda party won the biggest number of seats in an October election to an assembly to choose a caretaker government, rewrite the constitution and schedule fresh elections.
