
A technical fault today brought the movement of lorries on King Fahd Causeway to a standstill. The defect which affected clearance technical procedures caused a massive congestion at 12.30 PM.The Customs Affairs stepped in to ease up the ordeal and ensure the resumption of truck flow in cooperation with King Fahd Causeway General Authority. In a statement today, Customs Affairs Chief Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa said that 110 loaded trucks crossed the strategic artery during the day, in addition to 94 lorries by night. A total 260 empty trucks were cleared and allowed to cross King Fahd Causeway during the day.
