Tamarod Movement has announced calling off functions scheduled for Tuesday to commemorate the anniversary of violent acts on the Mohamed Mahmoud street for fear of riots. In a statement released a few hours ago, the movement called on the Egyptian people not to stage demonstrations today in order not to give an opportunity to a treacherous faction that is against the Egyptian revolution, namely the Muslim Brotherhood, to drag the country into battles once again that serve terror. "We ask all youths to remain peaceful in order to continue with the peaceful Egyptian revolution," the statement added. "Following the tragic acts of destroying the martyrs' memorial in Tahrir, confirmed reports were made available asserting that the terrorist MB group will demonstrate in Tahrir carrying arms and pretending to be revolutionists with the aim of dragging youth into clashes and violence and later trade with their blood," the movement added.
