Syrian opposition to elect interim PM

The Syrian National Coalition (SNC), the main opposition umbrella group in exile, will elect an interim prime minister during a meeting Saturday in Istanbul, Russia Today quoted SNC officials as saying. The coalition is expected to elect its interim prime minister on Saturday, SNC spokesman Khalid Saleh had said earlier at a press conference. With respect to the Russian initiative of putting Syria's chemical weapons under international control, Saleh said, "We made it very clear that the international community must punish those who carry out chemical attacks."
